Emirates Red Crescent a registered member since 1986 in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies organized an appreciation ceremony for all Governmental and Non – Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in ERBIL city for their activities and projects in aid of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and refugees based in Kurdistan region. Rwanga Foundation with its mission to assist the most vulnerable people of Kurdistan by aiming to confer better life and better future to those in extreme need was also privileged to be a part of the ceremony.
Emirates Red Crescent felicitated and awarded Rwanga Foundation in recognition for being one of the most active organizations in Kurdistan region with a focus on commitment in re-building the region. Earlier, it had partnered with Emirates Red Crescent in April 2014 for building the Kid-Zone facility in Qushtapa Camp designed to encourage and support the vulnerable children to become active and productive in their daily lives. The Kid-Zone facility comprised of (Computer lab, Library, Arts Room, Football Pitch, Basket Ball pitch, Volleyball Pitch, Children play Ground and Garden).
Rwanga Foundation believes in “Help has no boundaries” and their goal is to support and assist vulnerable groups including women, children, elderly and anyone in need promoting and supporting health, education and the environment in Kurdistan and overseas.
