
ERBIL, Kurdistan (December 16th, 2017) - Rwanga Foundation, through the Rwanga Foras project, participated in a Job Fair, held by the 'European Technology &Training Centre' (ETTC) in Erbil.
Rwanga Foras is a project to connect job seekers with job providers and delivers 24/7 learning in skills and by certification through various online training along with direct training on employable skills.
“We, at Rwanga Foundation, believe that opportunities only come to you when you seek for it and try to head towards it. To support this vision, we are actively taking part in creating more opportunities for the youth. Participating at this Job Fair is one of them. We were able to guide many job seekers towards the steps of finding a suitable job and exploring our employment website (Foras-Jobs) through which we provide a huge platform for job-seekers, to create their CV’s and applying to different types of jobs and online training.'' said Shano Ibrahim, Rwanga Foras Project Manager at Rwanga Foundation.
The one-day job fair started at 11 am and ended at 8 pm. ''The aim of the Job Fair is to help job seekers to find jobs. The Job Fair is organized in partnership with GIZ and it is part of a project to train 120 job seekers and place them on jobs.'' said Karokh Abdullah Hamad, project manager at ETTC. The Job Fair brought together people from different backgrounds and ages and connecting them with over 20 employers in the heart of Erbil City, Family Mall Shopping Centre. '' 22 companies and NGOs are present in this job fair.'' he added.
Rwanga Foundation organized the two days 'Rwanga Foras International Job Fair 2017' back in July, in the Erbil governorate, in which more than 100 job providers attended, including well known companies, universities and national / international organizations. In these two days, the job fair was participated by nearly 20,000 job seekers, who were searching for suitable jobs or participated in free training courses.
