Rwanga Foundation Conducts a session on CV writing and Volunteerism

Erbil, KURDISTAN- (December 22, 2018) - The Rwanga Foras Team conducted a two-hours session on the  basics of writing a CV and the importance of Volunteerism for 47 students who  were participating a seminar at the Van Royal Hotel organized by the Albert  Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative (DAFI) scholar ship program by the  UNHCR.

The aim was to sharpen the participant’s knowledge with deeper information and useful tips in creating and writing the most fitting CV to the Job Market and specifically to the selected working place in order to fit their own qualifications with the right job. Furthermore it was the aim to also make the participants understand the importance in volunteering to gain experience in different work places, work ethics and work methods, for them to be easier accessing the job market and have a greater effect also on the community.

The DAFI program enables young refugees to unlock their potential by addressing key barriers to higher education. Undergraduate refugee students are provided with scholarships that cover a wide range of costs, from tuition fees and study materials, to food, transport, accommodation and other allowances. To support their academic achievements and skill development, DAFI scholars receive additional support through close monitoring, academic preparatory and language classes based on students’ needs, as well as psychosocial support, mentoring and networking opportunities.
