Soran, Erbil. 8 August 2016: Rwanga Foundation in partnership with Soran Directorate of Education awarded students who stood first, second and third in the year 2016. The aim of awarding these students by Rwanga Foundation was to show the appreciation to the students and their teachers who despite of a very tense situation in terms of war and financial crises in the region proved their excellence in the academic career growth.
Aziz Said Mala, the Director of Soran Education Directorate said that: “this kind of support to the students was deeply appreciated, because it does motivate the students to continue their studies and get high grades. At the same time it does encourage the other students to make a big impact on improving and developing the education system in Kurdistan especially in Soran district”.
Education being one of the main sectors in Rwanga Foundation, since the establishment in 2013 it has implemented many projects such as building schools, Nursery renovation and providing education kits to the students.
