UKH in Partnership with Rwanga Foundation Organizes a Career Fair

Erbil, KURDISTAN (June 27, 2018)- University of Kurdistan-Hawler (UKH), in partnership with Rwanga Foundation, held the UKH Career Fair 2018 to provide a unique opportunity for the UKH students and alumni to engage with employers in the region.

The one day event attracted 30 companies and NGOs. ‘’Such events are very important to bring together employers and job-seekers, practically for the highly-qualifies students of UKH where there is a high demand on them’’ said Ari Mamshae, Director of PR at the UKH.

The UKH Career Fair took place at the cafeteria space of the University of Kurdistan-Hawler where 562 CVs applied for the vacancies and 116vacancies announced from the 30 employers.

‘’Rwanga Foundation hopes to continue its mission of providing a platform for both employers and job-seekers to meet and discuss employment opportunities through the Rwnaga Foras Project. The fair gathered around 30local and international employers from various sectors including Oil and Gas, Communications and Tourism’’ said Ari Rajab, Program Coordinator at Rwanga Foundation.

Weatherford was one of the companies that was present in the fair, and announced 5 vacancies. Its HR Advisor, Hayman Ali stated that ‘’we are here to hire fresh graduates and develop their skills to become leaders, Senior Engineers and/or supervisors at our company’’.

Rwanga Foundation manages Rwanga Foras Project - A platform which operates all over Iraq that brings together different resources, opportunities and initiatives for everyone, mainly youth and university graduates, who are eager to learn, work and develop but do not know where to start.

 Rwanga Foundation will be holding the biggest Job Fair, Rwanga Foras International JobFair which is scheduled to take place on September 9th–10th, from 10 am to 6pm, at the Erbil International Fair in Sami Abdulrahman Park.
