Erbil, KURDISTAN (December 25th, 2019) : Rwanga Foundation supports 70 schools in the Mergasor district with classroom and office supplies.
In order to assure a positive educational environment on all needed levels, Rwanga Foundation distributed 100 whiteboards, 80 kerosene heaters, 20 printers and 10 sets of sofas for 70 schools in the Mergasor district. A total number of 4,969 students and 369 teachers and staff could benefit from this distribution. The aim of the distribution was to find gaps and support to improve the educational environment on the schools.
Most of the public schools have shortages of facilities and basic needs due to the economic crises and lack of budget, therefore Rwanga Foundation provided the donations in order to support the education system.
“Our schools need so much support in terms of equipment for the students, teachers and the staff. Also, now we are in the winter season and the seasonal exams are near. We are thankful for Rwanga Foundation's continuous support for the educational process.’’ said Ahmed Muhammed (Director of Education, Mergasor).
Education is one of the main sectors of the Rwanga Foundation, and it envisages a world where quality education is accessible for all. Its mission is to provide services, build capacities and design policies to ensure easy access to education for all and improve the overall educational standards in Kurdistan and the greater global community.
