
ERBIL, Kurdistan ( May 9, 2017) - Rwanga Foras team participated in a career fair that was held at the Ishik University; aiming to serve youth and help them to find jobs after their graduation, receive trainings and improve their skills through Foras Portal.
The aim of Rwanga Foras Project is to connect young graduates to job providers and to become a platform that would provide 24/ 7 learning for skills and certification through various online trainings along with direct training on employable skills.
During the one day event, Rwanga Foras team was present to talk to the undergraduate students. Moreover, over 1000 people attended the career fair and Rwanga Foras leaflets and handouts were distributed among the students. ''Nearly 60 students registered as a volunteer to work with Rwanga on their summer breaks or after their graduation. Also 20 students registered to attend Rwanga Foras Employability Skills training'' Said Shano Ibrahim, Foras Project Manager.
After the career fair, Rwanga Foundation and Ishk University’s Management held a meeting to discuss possible ways in working together and implementing workshop/seminars and training in the future for the undergraduates and postgraduates. Furthermore, Rwanga Foundation received an appreciation award for their contribution on the career fair.
