Within the framework of the “Empowering the Next Generation” project, Rwanga Foundation launched the Innovation Lab at the Youth Centre in Duhok Governorate, while also modernizing the centre with a contemporary design. In recent years, this has become the second Youth Centre established in Duhok Governorate to enhance youth capacities. The purpose of setting up the lab and renovating the centres is to create opportunities for young people to be better prepared for entering the job market in a modern and effective way.
During the inauguration ceremony, an open discussion on youth and their future was held between Rwanga Foundation, UNICEF, government representatives, and NGOs working on youth matters .
The “Empowering the Next Generation” project is one of Rwanga Foundation’s key initiatives that sheds light on youth and adolescent issues. The project is financially supported by UNICEF and implemented in coordination with the Directorate of Youth Activity in the Kurdistan Regional Government.
