A graduation ceremony was held for 75 young participants who completed a 45-day vocational training course at Rwanga Foundation in the fields of mobile phone repair, solar power, mechanical engineering, and tailoring, in the governorates of Erbil and Duhok.
This project is part of Rwanga Foundation’s plan to provide vocational training courses for 160 young people over two years, divided into two rounds, each lasting 45 days. After the training, participants are placed in companies related to their fields for three months of paid internship as part of their practical vocational development. The main goal of the project is to empower youth to acquire professions and establish their own independent work through developing their skills and vocational capacities.
Rwanga Foundation is implementing this project with financial support from the Institute for University Cooperation Onlus (ICU) and in coordination with the Catholic University in Erbil, under the project: “Improving the Social, Economic, and Educational Opportunities of the Christian Community in Erbil and Duhok Governorates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.”
