Rwanga Foundation to Establish Two Autism Centers in Harir (Erbil) and Rzgary (Garmiyan Independent Administration)
As part of Rwanga Foundation’s ongoing initiatives, a memorandum of understanding was signed today with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to establish two autism centers — one in Harir District in Erbil Governorate, and the other in Rzgary Subdistrict, part of the Garmiyan Independent Administration.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Barzan Nazhat Hali, Deputy CED of Rwanga Foundation, along with the Rwanga Foundation team, and Zakiya Sayed Salih, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, accompanied by her team.
It was agreed that the foundation stones for both centers will be laid within a designated timeframe. Upon full completion and provision of necessary facilities, the centers will be officially handed over to the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Currently, the number of children diagnosed with autism in Harir and Rzgary exceeds 586, a figure that reflects a growing concern. Through such initiatives, Rwanga Foundation aims to deliver long-term solutions and support services for children with autism and their families.
It is worth noting that this project has been financially supported by Lieutenant Rawan Idris Barzani, Commander of the Special Forces – Halo Brigade
