Duhok – Kurdistan August 26th, 2017. To present the success stories, especially among experienced people and youth segment, TEDxDuhok in partnership with Rwanga Foundation has been held at the Duhok University conference hall in Duhok city. The governor of Duhok, academics, intellectuals and activists attended in the event.
The aim of TEDxDuhok was to provide an opportunity to those who succeeded to use their skills and knowledge, as well as those individuals who had been able to implement their ideas and projects to serve the global and local community. Additionally, the successful endeavors of the speakers to be a motivation for the youth, who seek for a way to shape their future in their lives. At the TEDxDuhok, eleven speakers presented their skills and expertise in which one of them was from the United States of America.
TED is a media organization which posts talks online for free distribution, under the slogan "ideas worth spreading". TED was founded in February 1984 as a conference, which has been held annually since 1990. This is the second time that TEDx was held in the Kurdistan Region, both organized and lead by a group of skilled youth and implemented in Erbil and Duhok.
