
Dohuk, Kurdistan: May 3, 2016: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Malteser International & Women and Health Alliance International (WAHA) collaboratively implemented two health centers for the IDP’s based in Dohuk Governorate.
Attended by several dignitaries, The German Counselor opined that the German Government has always been keen in helping and supporting IDP’s based in Iraq and Kurdistan region, He further reiterated that “we are glad to see and appreciate the involvement of many more humanitarian aids supported by local and International organizations, having an health center project in Rwanga Community is one of the outcomes of this initiative”.
Mr. Wolfgang Friske, Program Manager at GIZ organization also added: “The idea of building Health Centers generated after we built a school in Rwanga Community for IDPs”. It was an imitative to make sure that the community is in good health condition.
Mr. Friske thanked Rwanga Foundation for implementing such a modern facility for all the IDPs based in Dohuk Governorate.
Rwanga Foundation completed the Rwanga Community in Dohuk for IDP’s on February 2015, it accommodates 24,000 IDPs through 3,000 pre-fabricated residential units, Rwanga Community also has added facilities like two Schools, Kid zone, Park, Women Center and Two Health Centers.
