Khazir camp – Mosul, 17th November, 2016: Rwanga Foundation in cooperation with Barzani Charity Foundation distributed winter clothing’s to 1,200 IDPs’ children who reside in Khazir camp after fleeing Mosul due to the current liberation operations.
Ms. Roaa Ahmed Shawket a physiotherapist, Ms. Sara Kayfi a civil society activist, a number of charity workers and humanitarian aid donors participated in provision of winter clothes. Initially, the idea was an initiative by Ms. Roaa to help 300 families, but as the number of support contribution by Ms. Sara Kayfi and generous donors increased, the target reached to 1,200 IDPs children.
The aim of this contribution was to support the IDPs families in Khazir camp living under difficult conditions with winter clothes to withstand the winter onset. The entire contribution was performed as an act of heartfelt compassion and sympathy towards the IDPs children.
