
KURDISTAN, Erbil ( May 15,2017) – Rwanga Foundation Participated in the Made in Iraq and Kurdistan Fair in Erbil International Fair aiming to encourage the local companies to use the local workforce and help the job seekers to find jobs and free trainings using the Rwanga Foras portal.
The Fair was supported by the KRG’s Ministry of Trade and Industry where over 250 companies participated and over 12,000 people attended. The aim of the fair was to encourage local productivity and build a good relationship among the participant companies.
Rwanga Foundation participated in the fair as a non-governmental organization that supports the young ideas and encourages the local productivity. ‘’ part of the aim was to talk to the participant companies in order to encourage them to use local workforce and register their companies in the RwangaForas portal.’’ Said Zirak Hamad, Director of Public Relations and Media at Rwanga Foundation, while explaining the aim of the participating in the fair. ‘’ We also used this chance to talk with the jobseekers who participated in the fair in order to help them in finding jobs. Many youths visited our booth to get enough information about RwangaForas portal including how to create CVs, Apply for jobs and get free online trainings’’ He added.
One of the participant companies of the fair was Zrebar Company which is a local company and produces uniforms for Companies, Military, Restaurants and Schools. Zrebar Hawrami is the founder of the company and winner of the Rwanga Awards 2016 for the Entrepreneurship Category. The company is now operating in Sulaimani and provides services to other Kurdish cities.’’ I am planning to open an office in Erbil and later move onto Duhok market as well’’. Said Zrebar while explaining how successfully she was able to operate in the Kurdistan’s Market. Currently, the company has 16 full-time employees and 4 part-time employees.
One of the main focal areas of Rwanga Foundation is youth. Rwanga Foundation has many projects and activities for youths including Rwanga Foras portal where prepares jobseekers from creating CVs to work ethics through the job search and the online free trainings. Only in 2017 (January to April) 1,402 jobs has been posted on the portal, 439 jobseekers found jobs, and 677 youths has been trained.
