Aid delivery to Zaiton, Erbil benefits 2,800 Families

ERBIL, Kurdistan // July 8, 2015 — In association with Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Rwanga delivered food and non-food aid to 2,800 impoverished local families in Erbil, including also IDPs such as Yazidis and Shabaks.

The aid included dry food and powdered milk, baby diapers and blankets.

Ms. Choman, a woman from Erbil attending to receive aid expressively stated, “We thank Rwanga foundation for providing us with food, especially during Ramadan as we all need the support. I do appreciate when I see others thinking of us, remembering how much we are in need. Please keep helping us and our children.”

A young Shabak IDP from close to Mosul, Jasim Muhamed, said while waiting in line to receive aid, “We [Shabak] left our homes because of ISIS attacks on our town. When we left, we could not even bring food or any necessary clothes. I am so happy to see that organizations and people do care and are looking after us.”
