
Duhok, KURDISTAN (March 15, 2018)- Rwanga Foundation in coordination with The International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) organized an activity in Tlsqof Borders to provide health check up to Peshmergas.
42 medical students and volunteers supported the event to provide Frist Aid, Blood Pressure, Diabetes Screening, Checking Lungs, Checking Teeth and health information to 300 Peshmargas. ‘’I would like to thank Rwanga Foundation and the team who visited us to provide us health awareness to care about our health." said Muhammed Ahmed, Peshmarga.
Due to recent wars and instability in Iraq, security forces including Peshmargas are not able to check their health regularly, therefore, Rwanga Foundation through its projects held the activity aiming to provide health awareness to them.
‘’We are very happy to work with Rwanga Foundation as volunteer and especially today we came to serve our Peshmargas because they are saving our lives and such kind of activity is very necessary to support Peshmerga" said Muhammed Muhyedin, one of the volunteer doctors.
