DUHOK, Kurdistan // Rwanga Foundation in association with organization Music for Peace distributed aid to IDPs and other vulnerable people in Duhok governorate on Thursday, August 21st.
Music for Peace aid workers arrived in Kurdistan on August 18th and distributed four containers of medical equipment, medicine, dry food, clothes, school stationary, along with other necessities for households on August 21st to the Directorate of Health in Duhok.
Every year Music for Peace organizes a charity festival in Genoa, Italy to fundraise for the most vulnerable and in-need people of the world. This year Music for Peace decided to bring the collected aid to Kurdistan and distribute to IDPs in cooperation with Rwanga Foundation. The aid items were collected in Italy and then brought to Kurdistan.
Rwanga has been highly active since the beginning of the conflict 2014 by always supporting IDPs, and assisting vulnerable peoples through cooperation with international organizations such as Wings of help (LOG), International Medical Corps (IMC), German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ) and many other organizations.
