
DUHOK, Kurdistan // On August 26, 2015, Rwanga Foundation distributed aid to Yazidi IDPs at Lalish Temple in Shexan, Duhok Governorate.
Baba Chawesh, the religious leader of Lalish, received tents, food, clothes, diapers and toys which Rwanga staff distributed and that were donated by Music for Peace organization. The aid was initially provided through a benefit charity festival organized by Music for Peace, held in Genoa earlier this year.
The aid distribution was the last of three distributions, two of which, Music for Peace distributed four containers, including medical equipment, earlier on August 18th and the 21st to the Directorate of Health in Duhok.
Since the beginning of the conflict in 2014, Rwanga has been actively supporting and assisting vulnerable peoples through cooperation with international organizations such as Wings of help (LOG), International Medical Corps (IMC), German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), and most recently, Music for Peace.
