Erbil, KURDISTAN (November 15, 2018)-Rwanga Foundation supports 26 schools in the Mergasor district with classroom and office supplies.
In order to assure a positive educational environment on all needed levels, Rwanga Foundation distributed 100 whiteboards and 70 kerosene heaters for 26 schools in the Mergasor district. A total number of 5.341 students and 274 teachers could benefit from this distribution. The aim of the distribution was to find gaps and support to improve the educational environment on these 26 schools.
Mr. Ari Aladdin Rajab (Program Coordinator at Rwanga Foundation) stated:” We understand that when trying to help in the field of education, different approaches will be used and different needs will be faced. So sometimes it is the renovation of a school which is required, while in other times it is a kerosene heater which provides a better educational environment.”
“There was an urgent need for heaters since the winter is already coming. We are happy that this issue was solved and taken care of. And since we all know that the whiteboard is the start and end of the class, it is good that we supplied the schools and could provide them with this essential tools.” said Mr. Ahmed Muhammed (Director of Education, Mergasor).
