ERBIL, Kurdistan - Rwanga Foundation in partnership with various sponsors organized a two-day event, Rwanga Foras International Job Fair in Erbil International Fair between 10:00 am to 06:00 pm on July 26th & 27th, 2017. The main purpose of this event was to provide a platform for Job opportunities, Free Training (CV writing, Interview skills, Life skills & Work Ethics) and organizing Panel of speakers to discuss on below topics:
- Education system and market needs in Kurdistan Region
- The role of Government in providing a sustainable job market for job seekers
- Work Ethic
The grand opening of Rwanga Foras International Job Fair was graced by His Excellency Mr. Idris Nechirvan Barzani, accompanied by the Governor of Erbil, Minister of Labour & Social Affairs and various invited VIP dignitaries on July 26th, whereby 101 employers were present in the Job Fair and 19,627 people officially attended for the two-day event. The employers included Local and International Private Companies, Non Governmental Organizations both National & International and reputed Educational Universities.
Overall 18 Sponsors participated for this event. Our Sponsors consisted of PEPSI and Hemen Group as the Diamond Sponsor; (Korek Telecom, Goran Group/Genpower, MOONLINE Travel and Tourism Ltd & American International School of Kurdistan) as the Platinum Sponsors; (KURDNEFT, Edicoo Group, Erbil International Hotel, Masters Cooperation & HAMA Advertising) as the Gold Sponsors; (Mission Company, IMPACT, Mared Al-Iraqiya & Rotana Hotel, Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmbh/German Liaison Office for Industry and Commerce in Iraq (AHK), Business Magazine Iraq and Andazeary Rang Group Co.) as the Silver Sponsors; 55 Standard Participants, 23 INGOs / NGOs and 5 Universities.
The attendees who participated in the job fair were able to meet the Employers directly and enquire about their company background with any vacancies available to suit their requirements. During the Rwanga Foras International Job Fair, 1257 vacancies were announced by the employers. One of the employers, our Platinum Sponsors "MOONLINE TRAVEL & TOURISM" announced 75 of vacancies in the Job Fair, followed by Standard sponsor Ekhlas announcing more than 100 vacancies during the event.
The Job Fair concluded on July 27th, 2017 with a very positive feedback from the sponsors, huge number of visitors and youth trying their luck in getting a job with various companies that participated in the Job Fair.
