Final Ceremony of ‘Creation of Job Opportunities for Youth in KRI’ project

Erbil, KURDISTAN (September 19, 2019) Rwanga Foundation in  partnership with ACF held the Final  Ceremony of ‘Creation of Job Opportunities for Youth in KRI’ project.

The project was in partnership between Action Against Hunger (ACF) and Rwanga Foundation, through the project, 34 jobseekers were employed in 16 companies in 3 governorates (Erbil, Sulaimani and Duhok).

The aim of the project was to help the jobseekers through training them and supporting them to be employed.  Also, the project provided the first 4-months salaries to the beneficiaries.

The ceremony was attended by the representative of MoLSA, beneficiaries and companies.

‘’The companies are looking for good candidates and skills. And the jobseekers are looking for jobs. At Rwanga Foundation, we are bridging the jobseekers and job-providers. And during this process, we train the jobseekers in order to make the process more effective and efficient. Thanks for ACF for this partnership, and we hope to have more projects together’’ said Abdulsalam Medeni, Chief Executive Director of Rwanga Foundation.

Mr. Come de Nanteuil, Duhok Field Coordinator at ACF, also gave more details about the project and highlighted the importance of the project for the jobseekers and companies.  

The 34 beneficiaries were across Kurdistan region, (12 in Duhok, 11 in Erbil and 11 in Sulaimani). The project was under the supervision of MoLSA. Also, the 16 companies that participated in the project were: (Vana Company, Karash Company, Ekhlas Company, Pirmam group, Hertz company, and Main gate company) In Erbil. (Vogue Architect, Click digital, Moonline travel agency, Dikin Company, Balla Company, Nephrone, and Mix Fm) in Sulaimani. (Maf Hypermarket for Hypermarkets (Carrefour), Aslan Company,Char Bra Company, Sarxabon Company, Simarkh Company, and Nawroz Group Company) in Duhok.

 Nazmi Musa, Deputy General Manager at MoLSA stated the importance of the project and offered the support of MoLSA to any projects that can support the employment of young people. 

Moreover, during the ceremony certificates were given to the beneficiaries and the companies.
