Rwanga Foundation Announces Rwanga Awards 2017

Erbil, Kurdistan, August 10 2017. For the fourth continuous year, the Rwanga Foundation announced the annual Rwanga Awards during a press conference in the Erbil Governorate.

The RwangaAwards is a unique opportunity for the youth to showcase their talents. With the support and cooperation of our distinguished sponsors, the Rwanga Foundation is proud to provide a platform for such talent to be identified and celebrated in one major gathering. The aim of this project is to discover the talent of localyouths and to support them in developing theirskills and projects for the future.

The Rwanga Awards officially started in 2014, and for the last three years awards ceremonies have been held in Erbil (2014),Sulaimani(2015), and Duhok(2016). The 2017 awards ceremony will take place in the Erbil Governorate. The Rwanga Foundation evaluate and award submissions from willing participants between the ages of 15-25 in the fields of; Short Story, Short Film, Recycled Art, Drawing, Scientific Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Solo Musician and Photography.

To participate, interested individuals can read the provided conditions of each sector and submit his or her project to be evaluated by a specialized jury. After judgment, the awards will be presented to the winners in a televised ceremony.All those currently residing within the Kurdistan Region are allowed to participate in the event.

All youths across Kurdistan can enter the competition to present their talents across any of the above-mentioned categories. The competition launched on August 10th, 2017 and submissions will conclude on November 1st, 2017. There will be an independent committee of judges to evaluate and select the winners for each category.
