Rwanga Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent have partnered for the Kids-Zone Project to be launched and partook in the ground-breaking ceremony at the Qushtapa Camp. The Kids-Zone Project is designed to focus on the children in this camp to provide them with a facility to become active and productive in their daily lives and is a collaborative effort to provide the children in the Qushtapa Camp with the following:
1. Computer lab
2. Library
3. Playground
4. Art room
5. Football field
6. Basketball court
7. Volleyball court
8. Shop/market
9. Garden
10. Toilets
Speeches were given by Rawand Darwesh, Executive Director and Vice President of Rwanga; Sheikh Rashed M. Al Mansouri, UAE Consul General (on behalf of Emirate Red Crescent); Whycliffe Songwa, Senior Field Coordinator at UNHCR, Erbil. Other dignitaries such as the Mayor of Qushtapa and representatives from various ministries also attended.
